He holds a Bachelor’s degree in general biology from Wheaton College and a Master’s degree in biotechnology from Columbia University. He has held positions at the National Institutes of Health, HHMI Janelia Research Campus and Columbia University. He specializes in startup and management of aquatic systems and currently oversees 9 facilities serving over 60 research staff. He has been working with zebrafish as a model organism for over 13 years.
